Leeder Analytical recently welcomed Tyron Tio, a third-year Bachelor of Applied Science student majoring in Chemistry at Monash University, as part of his Science Internship Extended Unit. This collaboration underscores the company’s commitment to fostering educational growth and providing practical industry experience to aspiring scientists.
“Working at Leeder Analytical has been a real eye-opener regarding the realities of working in a high-tech lab focused on quality results and customer service,” said Tyron. “I have learned so much about good laboratory practices, quality, and customer service. I am enjoying the practical experience and, in particular, how powerful the analytical software is and how it helps drive productivity and quality.”
During his internship, Tyron is working closely with Dr. John Leeder, Managing Director of Leeder Analytical, exploring unknown compounds using the Thermo Fisher Scientific Orbitrap system. This hands-on experience is providing Tyron with valuable insights into advanced analytical techniques, particularly in the area of extractables and leachables analysis.
